Here is the plan:
Each day the assigned “scribe” will login and post a description of what he/she learned in class.  Basically, reteaching what I covered in class using your own words.  Your posts should be in complete sentences and use correct grammar.  You may insert pictures to help you with your explanation. You can include examples from class, from the text or from online resources.  You can also add information that you think would be helpful – especially if I left something out!!
Then the discussion can begin with other students asking/answering questions.

Why??
1. One of the best ways to learn is to teach someone else!
2. Sometimes seeing a concept a second time from another perspective makes it “click”.
3. Y’all are all online anyway, why not make your time useful with geometry.  )
4. You won’t have to call each other on your cell or interrupt your IM with geometry questions!  (and you thought I didn’t know)
5. You can use this as a virtual study session…..The night before the test, I’ll designate a time that I’ll be online and you can ask me questions.
6. The blog will be there 24/7 – Your teacher is NOT always available……I’m old, I have to sleep!
 
Is it for a grade?
My plan for now is to count this as one of our projects….You get points for scribing, points for helping someone else, points for adding links.
